Week 3: Map & Room Design

Map Design
Architecture Design
I began the world-building by setting up a cube grid system. I measured the world in the measurement of the height and sight of the third-person character. I left the world lighting for later processing for the outdoor views.

This was my first draft of the first two rooms. After building it, I thought a straightforward mirror hall is more boring than a s-shaped one, so I took it down and rebuilt. This was my second draft of the updated map. I set the outside view’s sight by adding two shades of statues for now.

The First Room: Dental Room I started to build the interior design of the first room. I kept the color tune of it to be cold and aloof, given the dental room set the stone of players’ first impression.

Shattered mirrors are what I want to present in the first room.
The original birth spot is a dental chair surrounded by several dental supplies.
This is also where I want to put a set of animation before the protagonist wakes up to inform the fraction of memories of getting her teeth pulled off.

I process a set of teeth’s model in Blender to prepare it for the scene building.
